Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
We require a Joomla 3 component to allow the display, booking and management of training courses on our website (similar to http://www.envico-online.com/)
Courses will be added via an administrator accessing the back-end.
Users will search for their desired course by category/course name/county/town or city. Upon finding a course that is running according to their requirements, they can book online.
Payment will be via Paypal and currently Stripe (https://stripe.com). We'd need to be able to add additional payment gateways without changing core code.
All rendered code must be valid HTML5 or XHTML 1.0 (to be discussed)
All produced markup must be semantically correct and contain no styling.
All code must be responsive - if necessary this can be an on/off option.
All CSS must be valid (CSS 2.1 and/or CSS3) and within ONE external CSS file.
No functionality (especially links) should rely on JavaScript – everything must function without it and fail gracefully if JavaScript is disabled.
The component must be written for >= Joomla 3.x.
All code must be within the Joomla MVC structure using best practices and views must be customisable using HTML overrides.
All views must use SEF URLs and generate correctly formatted/structured breadcrumbs.
It must be possible to link to all views using the Joomla menu system.
All views must allow third-party plugins to run as if they are Joomla articles. This should be a global option within the component that is overrideable on a per page basis.
All of the component settings should be within one master configuration area, per Joomla standards. It must be possible to override all settings using the usual Joomla hierarchy, i.e. within items of the component and menu links (e.g. Browser Page Title, Page Heading and all meta data options etc).
The component (and any plugins/modules) must be supplied within a package that's installable via the Joomla extension manager and must not rely on any third-party extensions or software to function.
All URLs should be editable via aliases per item (auto generated by item title).
I will attach a more detailed spec in due course. I'm hoping in the meantime you can bid me a ball-park figure (Somewhere between £xxx to £xxx) by message reply.
Once we've agreed the spec, we can then agree a final figure.
Thanks for bidding. Any questions, ask away.
Many Thank
Andy
NB - I have updated and attached a spec. Some of the elements here could perhaps be 'stage 2' of the build.
