General information for the website: Home Insurance Quote Engine
Description of requirements/features: I am looking to build a standalone insurance quote engine which I will link in from our existing website. I'll be hosting it in a subdomain of my current website. This should include a couple of pages of textual content and supporting help files. I will provide an html template to use as an example for the layout - I've still to do this.
My hosting uses php & mysql. I have enclosed tables provided by the insurer for making the calculations. All values and content fields need to be editable, though I dont need anything fancy for the back end.
I want to be able to issue discount codes, the value of which comes off our commission levels. I also want to be able to quote in different currencies currently sterling and euro, though I might need to add a third at a later date if scotland goes independent and decides on its currency. Currencies will be converted using current exchange rates and a small surcharge set by ourselves.
At this stage im looking for a fixed quote as im trying to get my broker to pay for this, or at least share the cost. Assuming I can get a quote im / they are happy with I would anticipate starting in another 2 or 3 weeks. As well as a quote I would also need a timescale for delivery.
