Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
My company in UK has invoiced an Indian client for training courses performed in India. From the invoiced sum the client has deducted Indian Sales Tax and Income Tax at source, as agreed.
However the rate for deduction of Sales Tax and the invoice value used by my client to make his deduction of income tax do not agree with the documented calculations of my International Tax Advisor, and result in a shortfall in the payment relative to my expectation.
I require a qualified Tax Advisor/Accountant based in India and with recognised Indian qualifications to give a second opinion. I will provide a single invoice and four specific questions asking which of the calculations (my advisor's, or my client's) of GST and TDS deductions are correct under Indian statutes.
The successful bidder need to provide an explanation of 'who is right'. If any of my client's assumptions are not correct, I will need a letter on headed paper to support a demand for correction.
Only bidders who are domiciled in India with recognised Indian tax/accountancy credentials/qualifications will be considered for this job.
