Description
Experience Level: Entry
Estimated project duration: less than 1 week
Sheet 1: STOCK
This sheet needs to be stock based – the idea of this spreadsheet is that every time shopping is done it is then recorded e.g stock 1. Within this spreadsheet there should be these headings:
- Name of product
- Quantity
- Weight
- Use by date
- Where purchased
- Individual cost
- Cost in total
- Batch number
- Barcode
This should then be multiplied into a number of stock tables for each shop.
Sheet 2: STOCK DATE
If possible this can be included in the first sheet but this may not look nice and tidy so include in the second.
This sheet correlates with the first sheet and flags up when items are going out of date. Therefore it is important that the sheets are linked to show each product in the STOCK spreadsheet, when their use by date is, what stock number they are and how many of that product we bought. E.g Stock 1, Sugar, 2, 19/05/2014.
- Is it possible to have the reminder flag as soon as Excel is opened rather than the cell just turn red? As they may forget to check that spreadsheet regularly.
Sheet 3: STOCK QUANTITIES
If possible it would be nice to have a spreadsheet that also correlates with sheet 1 and whenever say the term “Ketchup” is written it records how many bottles were purchased and the individual weight and total weight of that product. At the bottom it would then total the amount so that we know how much is in stock in total and know when to replenish.
Sheet 4: SAUCE
This spreadsheet is to record all the sauce batches made – the headings should be _top heading – Batch number – then:
- Time
- Date
- Ingredients
- Use by date
- Bottle quantity
This is the just data entry and not linked any table or calculation involved.
Sheet 5: BOTTLES
This spreadsheet needs to be a basic spreadsheet that calculates how many of each ingredient used to make the sauce is needed to make a certain number of bottles of sauce – therefore we shall need the quantities to make 1 bottle of sauce in order to calculate this (still waiting to receive this number).
