Description of requirements/functionality: The software application is to capture HTTP/HTTPS packets going across the Network Interface Card INCLUDING PROMISCOUS MODE. The GUI should contain a ‘START’ button to start capturing. A ‘STOP’ button to stop capturing from listening on the interface. A ‘SAVE’ button to save the data of specific packets. The HTTP/S data should contain all the headers i.e. GET, POST, HEAD, PUT, CONNECT, TRACE… and their results. The https data on the SSL/TLS handshake and encrypted data should also be available from the packets and the Establishment of the connection of TCP (client, server) i.e Ack, Syn, Fin…. The data that should be extracted from the packets should be all the data from request and response headers and all the TCP and IP header contents
