Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
General information for the website: ASP
Num. of web pages/modules: 1
Description of every page/module: Hi
I have a client who has relationship has broken down with their current web design company so they canceled their account not realizing that their websites would go offline. I got the website files from the old company but to my horror the sites were Umbraco sites so were obviously written in ASP and so needed to be put on a Windows server.
I have zero knowledge of ASP and Umbraco but felt I could deal with it. I can't host the sites on my Linux server but I do have a multiple domain hosting account which allows me to set up Windows hosting so I did that, set up the files on the hosting, created an SQL database, imported the .bak file and all without obvious issue. I have also created the connection to the database but when I look at the site I set up all I see is.
500 - Internal server error.
There is a problem with the resource you are looking for, and it cannot be displayed.
Not Good.
What I need is someone who can debug the 2 sites and get them back online ASAP. I also need to point out that the previous company ran a modified version of Umbraco but I have no clue what has been modified.
I hope someone out there can help me.
Cheers
Gary
