Background

We are a new company that provides shipping services to students at university. We allow students to visit the website and book a collection of their belongings. The order is processed and then passed onto the courier company. It is very similar to the website sendmybag.com. We however are going to offer a much more efficient online booking system and provide a lower pricing structure. They will be 2 products available, UK delivery and Northern Ireland and Highlands delivery. There is a weight limit of 25kg and certain size limits.

The Website

The website is going to be the main part of the success of the company. We need a very efficient website that is capable of handling orders online and passing them onto the courier company. We may use a company to handle the process of booking the courier such as parcel2go. Parcel2go have an API that will integrate into the website and allow for a seamless transaction for the customer. We would prefer to work with parcel2go for the first few months as they have a large number of couriers. (https://www.parcel2go.com/Parcel-Shipping-API.aspx)

We need a website that is very intuitive and easy to use. It needs to have a clean look and be easy to navigate. The look of the website is very important. We will be dealing with students who will expect a high standard in terms of the website design and function.

Key features of the website

- Clean look
- Easy to use
- Customer will be able to book a collection online and create an account, they will be able to login into their account and be able to track their parcel (tracking code provided by courier). In their account they will be able to book another order without having to fill in all the details again.
- Customer will be able to print a label from their account to attach to their baggage.
- SEO Optimised


This project needs to be completed within 3-4 weeks. This is a very tight deadline but we need to be ready for the christmas market. We are more than happy for more than one developer to take this on or for a web development company to do so as well.

We are currently working on branding with a designer however we may need branding services as well.

Totally agree, sounds great and then the bidding price...

A bit out of my league but I think £10K+ and 3 Months with a dev team testing would do the trick!
