Firstly, thank you to all of you for responding to my initial brief of 2 days ago. You have helped me get clear about the challenge ahead. So I have revised my outline brief (see below) to add some detail and hopefully make it more clear.

GOOGLE ANALYTICS: REVISED BRIEF
What follows is still only a draft. I will need you to help me shape it further. The fact is, I have a sense of what is possible but little sense of what is easy and what is more complicated, what Google already provides or what needs special code etc.
So, the start point for me would be to have a quick discussion with a couple of potential partners and get a bit more clear as to what I can reasonably expect and at what price. Then press ahead.
Background.
I have an ecommerce business ran purely off my website: www.figgahugga.com.
I have GA set up but without any bells or whistles (currently I cannot even track sales/conversions). I have yet to upgrade to the new version of GA.
I have a Facebook site: www.facebook.com/figgahugga and I do some post promotions and advertising – but, at the moment, they feature on GA simply as Facebook referrals.
Likewise Twitter. www.twitter.com/figgahugga
I have tried to do some Google Adwords, but not terribly successfully.
The Challenge
In mid October, I have been given some free TV airtime on Sky TV. I need to be ready to take full advantage of it.
That means organizing GA in such a way that I can 1) really see what’s happening to visitors 2) email website visitors according to where they went on our site and where they left from, what they did or didn’t do and/or 3) run Google Adword/Facebook ad campaigns that show specifically to visitors according to the same.
More specifically (and this is where I am not 100% sure if I always know the implications of what I am asking for):
Tracking.
I want to be able to track visitors to our site on Google Analytics according to where they come from and what they do there.
Key groups I want to isolate are as follows:
• All those who entered via the home page but did not click on from there
• Excepting those in the above list, all those who entered via the home page and then went to ‘What is a Figgahugga?’ and then left
• Excepting those in the above lists, all those who went to the ‘With and Without’ page but did not go to Buy Now
• Excepting those in the above lists, all those who went to ‘Buy Now’, did NOT watch the video link there, and put nothing in their shopping cart
• Excepting those in the above lists, all those who went to ‘Buy No’w, DID watch the video, but still put nothing in their shopping cart
• Excepting those in the above lists, all those who went to ‘Buy Now’ and put something in their shopping cart but did not complete the sale (can I break this list down according to the specific product selected or is this too complicated?)
• Excepting those in the above lists, all those who got as far as the Payment Gateway but did not complete a purchase.
In addition, I want to be able to track visitors according to their specific source: ie independent search, Google Adwords, referrals, Facebook ads etc. And likewise buyers.
And to be able to isolate the above groups and view their journeys through our site.
(Is it easy/possible to see visitor behavior based on individual/specific Google ads? Ie, which ad based visits led to sales?)
Remarketing.
I want to be able to develop lists of each of the above so that I can both email, and/or place Google Adwords in front of them, with ease, based on where they visited and what they did.
Lists
I want to be able to transfer these lists to ChipMunk mail or similar, or simply use them as Entourage email lists.
The Brief.
I would like to start with a call/skype to simply discuss this brief, better understand what it entails and thereby shape it a bit so it more accurately expresses my needs; and, in so doing, apply the 80:20 rule a bit – ioe establish what is most valuable, valuable but hard/expensive; less valuable but very easy etc.
I would like to think that this initial call would be free – but lead to a much better and probably more comprehensive brief.
Then we would move into paid for work: ie to set up my GA accordingly and take me through it.
(Depending on how that goes, I may also then ask you to help me upgrade my efforts on Google Adwords – if that also lies within your specialism).
Are you up for that?
What I want from you now.

- restate your interest
- confirm what you think this might entail in terms of time etc
