I have started a web based business for the coaching industry which aims to \"match\" one coach operators \"full\" job with another operators \"empty\" job. We are taking the development a stage further now and are incorparating a \"management system\" within the site which will allow many members to actually manage their bookings on line and print off confirmation letters, invoices etc.

this is a very good question. I am not sure, our current programmer has taken 6 months off to work for a free software based company in Berlin and to the best of my knowledge things like MySQL, Drupal and PHP spring to mind, if this helps in anyway shape or form.
