Job Description

Help needed for administration in a small financial planning company.

Some work can be done from home (dictation?), but mostly will be needed on site. \"Site\" is my home (for the next 6 months)
We will need to CRB check you and you\'ll need to sign a confidentiality agreement because we handle data.

I would like to go ahead on a trial basis, 10 hours over the next month. The hours can be negotiable, to suit you, but agreed in advance. If it works well, I would like to call on you more regularly, and possibly retain you more long-term.

I need you to:
file correspondence, which entails scanning and shredding.
compile simple letters from templates & issue them.
print correspondence to clients/suppliers, package it so it looks good and take it to the post office.
take verbal instructions about how to answer customer service questions, and compiling responses for checking by me.
take verbal instructions on how to phone suppliers and other parties to chase up pipeline work.
be a competent audio typist, with a working command of microsoft word.

It would be great if you:
Have experience in a financial planning capacity and
if you know intelligent office and
express dictate
Don\'t mind working in a small, new business with limited facilities in the short term (we are growing)

(Sorry that this all sounds simplistic - My current set up is that I have a great VA, but I need backup for when she\'s not available and I need extra tasks covered that can only be done locally. I got the VA from PPH 18 months ago! I\'m now facing an over-full desk and trying to get things under control. If you are able/willing to do additional tasks, please mention this in your bid. It might help.
Please also indicate whether you\'re looking for one-off work, or the possibility of a longer-term retainer.)
