Hi,
I’m the MD of a fairly new financial planning firm called Ashworth Financial Planning Ltd. I’ve been researching financial planning tools and none of them do what I want them to do so I have come to conclusion that I want to create my own! However, my Excel skills are limited hence this message.
I use an online tool called moneyscope (www.moneyscopehq.com) to help me determine how much a client needs to invest to get to a certain fund value at a certain age. It has lots of other functionality as well such as how long their money will last and of "what if" scenarios. You are able to select assumed investment return rates and assumed rates of inflation. I can let you have my log in details so you can look at it all yourself. Previously, I’ve met with the chap who runs Moneyscope and all of its functionality comes from Excel. My first question is would you be able to build me a spreadsheet which replicates everything that moneyscope does online?
Following that I have begun using a goals based reporting tool to monitor how my clients are progressing towards their goals. This is in the form of a spreadsheet already but I want to amend it slightly but the provider who created won’t let me. I've attached a copy here. Are you be able to “unlock” it for me so that I can change some of the functionally and also add my company logo and font? Or would you be able to add these for me? The main area I want to change is Investment portfolio in accumulation and investment portfolio in decumulation, rather than the product providers default options I want to be able to input a percentage. Also, I want to add functionality to include the cost of my advice and the product charges (both percentages).
Essentially, moneyscope identifies the financial resources needed for a future financial goals and the goals based reporting tool monitors progress towards achieving them. Ideally I would like one tool that does it all. Once you have created a spreadsheet that replicates moneyscopy could you then bring in the functionality of the goals based reporting tool so that everything sits together on one spreadsheet?
Any questions? Would a chat on the telephone help?
If you are interested can you give me an indication of the cost and timeframe for carrying out this work?
Many thanks
Steve
