C. J. on 29/08/2010 23:51Hi Jimmy
As our ad clearly sates we are a 24 hour business and are looking to employ people from all over the world. Of course if we would employ in the UK we would comply with all UK legislation including minimum wage as we would in any other country or territory we would employ in. The reason we offered £4 to £10 is simply £4 is the minimum wage on this website and a competitive wage in many countries in the world for live support and up to £10 which we would pay for the right candidate.
M. L. on 30/08/2010 10:03Hi,
I have sent a bid in for this position. but on checking it after it was sent there a few typo's. Apologies for this.
Please could you tell me when you are expecting the position to be offered out. I noticed that the job offer is going to be running for 29 days.
Thanks Mark
M. L. on 30/08/2010 10:12Hi again,
Would we have access to the VPN logs for trouble shooting connectivity issues? Also are you running OpenVPN servers on Linux or running CISCO VPN concentrators?
Thanks Mark
Here are some practical tips on staying safe
- Never pay any money to Clients and or provide sensitive details like your Bank information, Credit Card or Passwords
- Never accept a Job if you have been directed away from PeoplePerHour to another website
- Be cautious when providing your personal contact details (email, telephone number, instant message ID etc) before your Bid is accepted
- If you have been asked to send samples, put a watermark on them or send low resolution examples to avoid being exposed and not getting paid
- Don’t start work before your Bid is accepted and your Escrow deposit is made
- Keep your Escrow account topped up and ensure that you use the Private Message Board to track all pertinent details about the Job e.g. timelines, deliverables etc
- Before you supply final works to Clients, ensure you have adequate funds in Escrow
Remember: if something looks too good to be true, it probably is!
