CSS Web Designers Needed

Hello,

We require several web designers/programmers to produce quality redesigns of existing websites.

Due to our connections with a large number of advertising and marketing agencies in the UK and the USA, we have a constant stream of leads of potential clients who might be interested in the redesign of their existing websites.

The key for us is to outsource the production of these redesigns and to do as many as possible for as low a price each as possible, whilst still delivering quality new look possibilities for our potential clients.

The successful applicants\' jobs will entail:

1) Assessing the content of existing websites from companies in a wide range of fields

2) Choosing a suitable CSS template/design from the many we can provide, or any in your own personal collection

3) Modifying the colors, menu, graphics and content of that design, plus adding any suitable CSS elements such as sliding graphics, news tickers etc., to suit a new design for the potential client website

4) Delivering this design to us and making changes according to our feedback

5) Potentially developing the rest of the website if the client takes up the option


Essential Skills for candidates:

1) HTML, XHTML, CSS programming

2) At least basic graphics manipulation skills (resizing, recoloring, cutting out images etc.)

3) Excellent written English

4) The ability to assess the faults and useability issues of an existing website and improve it, inserting copied content but also thinking laterally about what a company website might need and creating an example of it.

5) The ability to quickly take a CSS template and alter it, inserting all the relevant company information, graphics and color schemes.


Desirable Skills for candidates:

1) Advanced graphics creation/logo creation

2) PHP/MySQL database programming

3) JavaScript

4) Copywriting skills


Notes About This Position

1) We have tested things out and one of our designers can produce a working Home page for a redesign in around 3 hours. If you think you will take longer, let us know how long and what the extra time will be taken on (i.e. extra quality). If you can do it in less than this time but maintain a quality level of service, you will be more likely to be sent more projects

2) This is an ongoing position for several candidates. We have a large backlog of potential leads to get through, so successful candidates who deliver quality redesigns will have a pretty much unlimited supply of work for the next few months. But quality must be maintained or your services may be dropped.

3) If a client takes up an option on the site redesign, you may finish the website at your agreed hourly fee (plus a bonus on completion) or you may ask us to get someone else to complete the site (i.e. you just keep creating new redesigns). This is up to you. Please advise in your bid what skills you have and whether you would prefer to complete websites you start or just keep making new mock-ups/redesigns.
