Create a Drupal Feeds importer based on xml sitemap

Based on the Drupal feeds module (http://drupal.org/project/feeds) and probably the xpath parser (http://drupal.org/project/feeds_xpathparser), I need to clone content from an existing site on a periodic basis. My thought is to create two feeds - the first that uses the sitemap.xml document of the source site to establish the URLs and attach those to an existing content type; then a second feed to update each node created by the first feed with the content within each url using the Xpath parser module.

I am however open to suggestion. The deliverable will simply be an export of the feed configuration(s) from your site that I could import on my Drupal 7 site. Please contact me with any enquiries.
