1. Background and summary:
A company I work with wants a list of companies that are interested in the London Olympics as it has services they might want. I have already registered on the government website that helps buyers and suppliers find each other for work related to the Olympics. With the login you can see contact details for companies registered, but they are not in a convenient format. The job is to get them off the site and onto MS Excel. My assessment of the task is that it is a combination of copying and pasting, transposing (converting rows to columns), checking and formating. I have attached annotated screen shots and an example Excel template so you can go through the steps and get an idea of how long it would take you.
There are over 9,000 contacts listed so you can either quote for the whole lot, a price per contact or for 1,000. Please do make it clear which option your bid includes!
2. What exactly is required:
*Login with the details supplied, select \"supplier search\" and tick 3 boxes to apply area filters (this only takes a minute)
*You will then get a results screen as per the firs PowerPoint slide.
*by clicking on each organisation you will get detailed contact info on each company, as per the second PowerPoint slide. I need this putting into the format of the Excel spreadsheet also attached.
*I see this as being selecting the info on the page, copying it to an area of the spreadsheet, tidying it up and transposing it into rows, clicking back and doing it for the next in the list. If you can work a better way of doing this then great!
