K. L. on 20/03/2010 18:45 pmHi — can you please confirm if the £50 paid for each slogan is for all rights? I mean, if someone comes up with a slogan or character with a great catchphrase which goes on to make you, the company, a lot of money, does any of that trickle back to the original creator/writer, or does the writer/creator get £50 and that\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'s it? (for example, the Me to You grey bears and their slogans/brand went on to make millions in global merchandising). Thanks, Kay Leitch

G. B. on 21/03/2010 07:21 amHI Kay
Sounds like you have some issues with the concept of freelance. £50.00 is per slogan - a slogan by itself without the original idea, the brand building, advertising and creative work to give the project depth and appeal will not make THE COMPANY millions in global merchandising,
The people in our company who do come up with great ideas share in the success of that idea
thanks for the enquiry

B. B. on 21/03/2010 00:13 amKay, I asked more or less the same question(s) about a previous assignment listed by this client in connection with slogans for greetings cards. No response as yet.
I will watch with interest to see if a reply to your question is forthcoming.
Good luck all

New to this site - is the bid proposal meant to include the slogans?
Thanks, Debbie.

J. C. on 21/03/2010 14:26 pmHi Ged.
Following on from Debbie's question - I've sent my bid without examples. Were you expecting slogan examples? Look forward to hearing from you. Best wishes, Joe

G. B. on 22/03/2010 07:43 amHi Joe
Yes just a couple of examples so I know you would be right for an assignment
K. L. on 21/03/2010 18:39 pmThanks for clearing that up, Ged. I don\'t have any issues with the concept of freelance, and I understand the slogan by itself is only one part of the package (I worked in newspapers for years; they take ideas and run with them, too). I just wanted to know exactly where we stood. Thanks. Kay

When people attach things on PPH I don't get them. Please put them in the body of the copy

A. S. on 17/05/2011 11:32 amCan anyone who bids, from another continent, have some financial guarantee by you or any consolation of rewards, after a slogan by any chance is accepted.
Like "Don't keep out. Tresspass right into this property. Even be entertained by us. And be counted as part of our world"!).
I've no idea, as your description of work was vague enough, if that's any good.
Anyway, in financial matters, there is no way except to trust a principal on use of a slogan sent, either now or in some distant future. With work done and without any deposits, many empty escrows accounts were screwed up enough times, already..
