C. R. on 22/06/2009 11:14Hi Deepak,
I'd love to prepare a bid for you on this project however your budgets are too low. The specifics for your project would require some thought and if you could prepare a rough specification document I can look into giving you a guide price bid.
regards,
Chris

This is really way too low! <£250 is easy to click but lets be realistic, not sure about anyone else but I studied for 5 years and then 10 years in some top notch ad agancies mate and to be honest.... I would not touch this with .... well nothing.
Blimey I am shocked. Perhaps you clicked the wrong button surely.!
Good luck with that one...
G. P. on 22/06/2009 20:41I have to concur with others... The site you want is highly sophisticated and will take a while to set up. You can attempt it yourself using opensource (free) software, and you may like to consider MOODLE (http://moodle.org) which is education/tutoring software... Moodle will do much of what you want, including facilitating payments, but tracking and moderating usage for payment purposes, integrating voip, etc, is complicated... What you require is between 100 and 200 hours\' work...
Here are some practical tips on staying safe
- Never pay any money to Clients and or provide sensitive details like your Bank information, Credit Card or Passwords
- Never accept a Job if you have been directed away from PeoplePerHour to another website
- Be cautious when providing your personal contact details (email, telephone number, instant message ID etc) before your Bid is accepted
- If you have been asked to send samples, put a watermark on them or send low resolution examples to avoid being exposed and not getting paid
- Don’t start work before your Bid is accepted and your Escrow deposit is made
- Keep your Escrow account topped up and ensure that you use the Private Message Board to track all pertinent details about the Job e.g. timelines, deliverables etc
- Before you supply final works to Clients, ensure you have adequate funds in Escrow
Remember: if something looks too good to be true, it probably is!
