Hi
I am a domestic energy assessor producing EPCS for sales & lettings agents and a green deal advisor. I am a qualified legionella risk assessor for rental properties and i offer a insured accredited professional report.
Legionella risk assessments for landlords are a recent government requirement for all landlords, many letting agents are not aware of this.
There is a recent House of Commons Briefing Paper that 100% states that Landlords MUST have a Legionella Risk Assessment. Read page 9 para 2.2, it is there in black and white:
"Specifically, landlords are obligated to have a risk assessment conducted out on their properties"

I am hoping to get a few customers on board. I am aware all lettings agents already have a Epc provider ( a domestic energy assessor) but not a legionella risk assessor..
Landlords can possibly do this themselves if they know what they are looking for but they are not able to produce a independent professional report which would stand up if something awful happened to a tenant living in their property.
I am hoping to get through the door as i can offer both services which can be done at the same time at a landlords property. The recommended timeframe for the risk assessment is bi-annually.
Estate agents are always on the look out to make more money so I would be offering to do these for their letting landlords on a individual EPC survey or legionella risk assessment basis or a reduced combined service same visit price, they can earn a kickback off all services.
Housing associations have thousands of properties that will need doing, they may do it in house and have it covered or may prefer to outsource. They may be other organisations we could target such as large private landlords if details are available to contact.
I am just in the process of putting together a price package.

The area i would be concentrating on would be businesses 15-20 miles of my postcode WR7 4JE
