Title:Writer for company Portfolio Brochure
Location:Anywhere
Job Description
We are creating a brochure to be send via pdf to potential clients. Apart from basic introduction of our company, it needs to include around 9 case studies of our work.
We have 4 case studies on our website, but they need to be "jazzed up" to make it more interesting and include more information on how we created value to our clients, and the other 5 will have to be written up pretty much from scratch.
We are looking for someone who is experienced in writing marketing material and ideally understands our type of business (web software development).
Because we have a client asking for such brochure now, we would like it done by Thursday (even if not polished up to perfection).
When applying, please let me know if you have availability to do it in such short time frame and how long you estimate it will take so that I can budget accordingly (plus/minus).
PS! If the job is well done, there will be plenty of opportunities to keep working together (as we need copy writers for our own sites as well as clients)

C. S. on 04/07/2011 18:13Hi Laura
Are we talking approximately the same length for each of the case studies on your website? Do you just want an introduction and then the case studies in the brochure or additional sections too? Design and copywriting or just copywriting?
I'm also assuming you'd provide the background for each case study which needs to be written from scratch?
Regards
Claire

L. P. on 04/07/2011 18:23Hello Claire,
Thanks for prompt reply.
A this point - it is really a portfolio brochure. so no other sections apart form actual portfolio and introduction to it.
In terms of length - yes very similar to what we have got, but as I have mentioned, needs to be more suitable for marketing purposes.
I will give you the summary for the other case studies.
However, I would probably like to have a phone chat as well since when it comes to presenting "value delivered" - I am short of ideas (I hope it is something that might be easier for outsider to identify)
I hope that helps.
Best wishes,
Laura
M. E. on 04/07/2011 18:29Do you have a particular publishing software that you want to use to create the brochure?
Do you have the background details for the case studies?
Can you post your website so I can view the current case studies please?

L. P. on 04/07/2011 18:49I am not sure if I am allowed to post my site details through this site, but if you Google our Company name Bit Zesty - you will find us.
No particular publishing software, but you do not need to worry about that bit - all I am looking for is the actual writing.
Here are some practical tips on staying safe
- Never pay any money to Clients and or provide sensitive details like your Bank information, Credit Card or Passwords
- Never accept a Job if you have been directed away from PeoplePerHour to another website
- Be cautious when providing your personal contact details (email, telephone number, instant message ID etc) before your Bid is accepted
- If you have been asked to send samples, put a watermark on them or send low resolution examples to avoid being exposed and not getting paid
- Don’t start work before your Bid is accepted and your Escrow deposit is made
- Keep your Escrow account topped up and ensure that you use the Private Message Board to track all pertinent details about the Job e.g. timelines, deliverables etc
- Before you supply final works to Clients, ensure you have adequate funds in Escrow
Remember: if something looks too good to be true, it probably is!
