Title:Website weather page development

Location:Anywhere

Job Description

Developer needed to create a web page (or set of web pages) that will allow users to display a weather forecast for their specific postcode.

Using ASP/PHP (site runs on a Windows server), you will design a page that lets the user enter their postcode. On pressing submit, the postcode is incorporated into a URL query that retrieves the necessary data in XML format from a third-party server.

The XML data is then formatted to display the weather forecast for that postcode for the following 48 hours. Existing active server pages exist that use XML/XSL to display weather data retrieved from a local XML file.

A cookie (or similar) process is also required to allow users to save their postcode on their computer so that the weather for their location is loaded automatically on subsequent visits.

Hi ,

this project sounds interesting, but I feel that your allocated budget is too low for what you require.

You are asking for a database driven site that will display results relating to XML data.

Though not overly complicated, your buidget is way below any decent developers wage.

Good luck though

Thanks for your thoughts Tony, but having used this site several times for developments of this type I know exactly what sort of budget is realistic.
