Job Description

We have launched a website called Coast Radar (www.coastradar.co
) , this is an information site about the coast. It links in with facebook and a free iPhone application. We initially populated the UK but now want to expand worldwide.

What we are looking for is a number of people to take on a region and help populate. Everyone must have good English.

The site is split into a number of categories as follows:
- beaches : these are free to enter and list beaches and what is available.
- activities: things to do near beaches, like sports, theme parks, country houses, castles, piers etc
- services: people pay for this advertising, like surfing instruction, boast trips
- kitbag: shoPs oferring things related to the coast, like surf kit, beachwear
- accomodatio

The activities and beaches can be entered by everyone and that is what I want added to the site. Will also pay a commission on other entries.

Hi Ian,

Could you please indicate how many words you will require for the various sections? It s difficult to bid correctly without knowing the length of a piece. Also, is this a one off project or ongoing?

Hi Lindsay,
First of all we are looking to populate the world so I guess we will be looking for one-off engagements where people can populate a single area and also then we will settle on some that can work at a worldwide level.

As far as number of words I can't really say. We are looking for an informative coverage so for a beach we want enough information for the visitor to make an informed decision with particular reference to facilities, family vs sports focus, sand vs pebble etc, For activities it is more a selling game where we want to give enough information to make the area look attractive, these can link to the activities website also.
