T. S. on 17/09/2010 08:52The catalogue and blog pages, are they to be static and updated as and when?

K. R. on 17/09/2010 17:32I want to be able to update them on an adhoc basis (ie. as we have new information to report) I guess you could say weekly to give you a rough indication.
If possible, I would like the developer to set it up in a way which makes it simple for us to update ourselves
M. B. on 17/09/2010 09:52Hi Kajal,
Are you needing full e-commerce facilities?
And do you have a logo or any branding in place?
Thanks,
Marianne

K. R. on 17/09/2010 17:40No, at this stage we just want to be able to display our full range with a facility for customers to fill out a form to make an enquiry about purchasing.
This is because our inventory levels are limited so we don't want to risk taking payments for goods we don't have.
We have a logo and basic branding, we also have a PR agency who will write te copy for the site and provide photos of the store.
J. W. on 17/09/2010 11:39Hi,
Do you wish to sell the shoes on the website? As an e-commerce shop?
Kind Regards
Joel Warby

K. R. on 17/09/2010 17:41Not initially as inventory levels in stock will be too small. I want people to be able to make a enquiry though. A sort of 'Add to wish list type thing' and then we ca get in touch with them within 24 hours.
D. H. on 17/09/2010 14:00Hi Kajal,
Will you need a payment gateway with this site?
Thanks,
Dave.

Here are some practical tips on staying safe
- Never pay any money to Clients and or provide sensitive details like your Bank information, Credit Card or Passwords
- Never accept a Job if you have been directed away from PeoplePerHour to another website
- Be cautious when providing your personal contact details (email, telephone number, instant message ID etc) before your Bid is accepted
- If you have been asked to send samples, put a watermark on them or send low resolution examples to avoid being exposed and not getting paid
- Don’t start work before your Bid is accepted and your Escrow deposit is made
- Keep your Escrow account topped up and ensure that you use the Private Message Board to track all pertinent details about the Job e.g. timelines, deliverables etc
- Before you supply final works to Clients, ensure you have adequate funds in Escrow
Remember: if something looks too good to be true, it probably is!
