Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
A UK based product sourcing and marketing company requires a programmer/coder to help with amends to a single product website created using Open Source in
Open Cart using PHP/MySQL. There\'s an issue of functionality using certain browsers and other programming amends are required. You will be
required to work with our graphic designer. We have a group deal company promotion which launches w/c 26 March for which we need this work completed
prior to its launch.
Amends Required:
1. Browser testing and compatibility to ensure that the site works on a variety of browsers on Mac/PC and that a previous issue we had with Internet Explorer can be rectified and remedied - this was whereby certain people
could not physically add a product to their basket.
2. A voucher redemption process - is far too hidden within the site itself (although it does work perfectly) and needs to be brought to the front of the customer experience - ideally a form on the home page which then dovetails into the Open Cart software so that the p&p and address details etc can be captured. Failing that - a big ‘REDEEM YOUR VOUCHER HERE’ button that
takes the customer into the section to complete their redemption.
3. Adding an upsell flash - a 2nd product unit at same promotional price - no additional p&p payment as a means to incentivise additional purchase. Technical input required as we\'ll be adding a voucher at 100%
reduction, 1 x lot of p&p and 1 x additional new product at £19.95 as opposed to the usual £69.95 so need some thought into how it is set up and all added to the basket.
Time Frame
We will look to appoint the job Weds 21 March for end Friday 23 March
delivery. We will need to see credentials/examples of relevant work and will take up phone/email references.
This is an initial project and, if it goes well, there should be more opportunities. Please only bid on this job if you are based in the UK, have examples of your work and can deliver the job within 3 working days of being
awarded the job and visuals.
