I run a small freelance Web Development agency with ongoing contracts with several graphic design firms to provide HTML and backend development work based on their designs.
Sometimes, things get busy, and rather than delaying projects, I would like to start passing these projects on to somebody so that they can all get completed within a reasonable time frame.
What you need:
Strong PHP/MySQL knowledge
Good XHTML & CSS experience (tableless websites only please)
A working knowledge of best practice as far as on-page SEO goes
Ability to pick up projects fairly quickly (talking maybe a weeks notice)
The ability to provide a guaranteed fixed quote and completion date for each project
To be located in or around Bristol (so that we can meet up to discuss things if required)

L. T. on 03/11/2009 18:57I am a freelance web developer, based in Staffordshire, UK, I have just left a very demanding Website Development role as the lead developer, i have worked on Php driven website everyday of my working life for about 3 years.
I specialise in the latest developments within Php and am an expert at accuratly converting psd designs into xhtml and css2/3 in a timely fashion.
Could i ask do you use any pre built web systems such as Drupal CMS, or Symfony or do you just want html files?

Luke - a lot of the sites are bespoke PHP systems, created as per the clients requirements. (Galleries, social network sites etc.)
Occasionally there will be an OsCommerce or Wordpress install/config/skin piece of work required.
Ideally, I\'m looking for someone who can work with existing open source applications such as those above, but who can also create smaller more custom solutions from scratch (or from pulling together various existing open source scripts to create the whole system)

I understand that, i am able to work on bespoke systems, i usually use a php framework, whihc cuts down development time and holds fast to the latest web standards eg: MVC modelling used by Symfony.
I can also work with Pre made systems, looks like i can do what you want, if you are interested i will send you some links of work i have done... One is very close to you actually in Stroud.
