Clarification Board
S. S. on 17/10/2011 14:39To clarify - the payment offered is cash not an equity share or other 'work-for-free' arrangement that means my reward relies on third parties over whom I have no control?
What exactly are the 'equity' arrangements?
What is the business worth and how was this figure calculated?
Are these ordinary shares the same as the directors hold?
J. L. on 17/10/2011 15:15Hello,
Further to the questions asked below, I have a couple of my own.
What is this budget range for? You say this is for full-time work, so is this budget for a week's full-time work?
I am very interested in the project, but will need more details before I make my bid.
Thank you,
Joshua

R. S. on 17/10/2011 16:08Hi Joshua, i am developing a platform for graduate entrepreneurs such as yourself. A section of the website will contain articles, guides based on starting up a new business. Marketing, HR etc.
Hence i require a full time writer to carry out these matters. As the company is recently formed, it is only fair to offer the individual that joins the team to recieve a portion of the equity, as the salary will be minimal till the website starts trading. The budget is for a months salary.
Thanks
J. L. on 17/10/2011 16:19Hi Raspinder,
With that in mind I'm afraid I won't be able to bid myself. While the equity share could be worthwhile in the long-run, it won't be sustainable for myself in the short term.
I wish you all the best with the project in general.
Joshua

I. G. on 17/10/2011 18:31Hello,
I work in the Financial Market for a financial magazine so the subject is really interesting and familiar to me.
I just need to now about the payment. And around how much are you willing to pay? Per hour or per article? Before I bid, I will need to know.
Kind regards,
Irina
J. M. on 18/10/2011 22:57Hello,
I am a professional UK writer that would have no problem writing on this subject.
Could you please give some indication as to how much time would be required and how much writing is needed - e.g. How many articles per week, or what length etc.
Also, I assume this is to be worked from at home, or are you requiring visits/working from your office?
Regards,
James
Here are some practical tips on staying safe
- Never pay any money to Clients and or provide sensitive details like your Bank information, Credit Card or Passwords
- Never accept a Job if you have been directed away from PeoplePerHour to another website
- Be cautious when providing your personal contact details (email, telephone number, instant message ID etc) before your Bid is accepted
- If you have been asked to send samples, put a watermark on them or send low resolution examples to avoid being exposed and not getting paid
- Don’t start work before your Bid is accepted and your Escrow deposit is made
- Keep your Escrow account topped up and ensure that you use the Private Message Board to track all pertinent details about the Job e.g. timelines, deliverables etc
- Before you supply final works to Clients, ensure you have adequate funds in Escrow
Remember: if something looks too good to be true, it probably is!
