Title:Web Site Designer
Location:Anywhere
Job Description
Hi,
I require the services of a web designer to build a simple website for my styling and photography business. The holdng page has already been set up but I now need someone to build the real website so that it\'s simple enough for me to update the pictures myself in the future. I already have designed a logo and I know how I would like it all to look but its just the programming really where I need the help.
I would like it to be up and running by begining to middle of June.
Thanks
Victoria

Clarification Board
M. K. on 11/05/2010 00:06Hi Victoria,
Could we see what designs you have come up with or at least the holding page and logo? this would give me a feel for the project.
Thanks,
Martin
S. P. on 11/05/2010 08:51Victoria, thanks for the job description and for taking the time to read this message.
What features would you like on your website? Will it just be a static website with contact details and information, along with a gallery which you can update yourself, or do you require more advanced features such as a blog or client login?
Also, can you tell me whether or not you already have a domain and hosting package setup or whether you would like the winning bidder to set this up for you?
This information will help me to make an accurate bid for your project.
Regards,
Stuart Pinfold
M. R. on 11/05/2010 09:32Hi Victoria,
I'd be really interested in bidding on this and think I have the experience you need but would also like some clarification on the type of site you require, roughly how many pages you will need etc.
If you have a holding page already then I guess you must have already purchased a domain name and hosting package but would be grateful if you could confirm this.
Look forward to hearing your responses soon.
Martin
Here are some practical tips on staying safe
- Never pay any money to Clients and or provide sensitive details like your Bank information, Credit Card or Passwords
- Never accept a Job if you have been directed away from PeoplePerHour to another website
- Be cautious when providing your personal contact details (email, telephone number, instant message ID etc) before your Bid is accepted
- If you have been asked to send samples, put a watermark on them or send low resolution examples to avoid being exposed and not getting paid
- Don’t start work before your Bid is accepted and your Escrow deposit is made
- Keep your Escrow account topped up and ensure that you use the Private Message Board to track all pertinent details about the Job e.g. timelines, deliverables etc
- Before you supply final works to Clients, ensure you have adequate funds in Escrow
Remember: if something looks too good to be true, it probably is!
