Description
Experience Level: Expert
Looking for someone to take ownership of an online knowledgebase used for a web hosting business.
Reponsibilities would include:
- Populating the knowledgebase by documenting every available feature in detail. This would include screenshots for each step, and be completely idiot proof.
- Revamping the categories so a typical user would be able to logically browse the knowledgebase and find exactly what they are looking for
Typical knowledgebase articles would include:
- Setting up a mailbox
- Configuring Microsoft Outlook to connect to the mailbox
- Setting up a MySQL database
- Setting up MySQL users and giving permissions to the database
- Registering a domain
- Upgrading an account
- Creating an FTP account
- Connecting via FTP
- etc etc
I would imagine 100 or more articles would be required in total.
The applicant for this job should have a fairly good understanding of websites and webhosting in general, or at least the basics. Beneficial would be some PHP knowledge (eg when documentating various PHP features).
Must have excellent english writing skills.
Please note that the attention to detail is of upmost importance - a generic copy/paste of other articles won't do. These tutorials need to be completely customized to our particular web hosting business.
Timeframe to complete the majority of articles can be within 4-6weeks.
