Title:Web Designer Needed

Location:Anywhere

Job Description

Needed As Soon As Possible to complete--no later than 15-12-10. Looking for someone who can design a USDA All Natural Beef web site mostly for California meat seekers. A few pages of attractive design where they can see the meat/ranch on one page, and order gift boxes on another, maybe a third where they can order individual items. We are not sure about design, so we're open to suggestions; however, we are hoping that the design will work into a large scale business where we can have the same designer revise the website every few months for changes in product and where we can increase the size. We would like video added to the site. We want a payment section, both Paypal and a way to accept checks or credit cards, or where they can agree to send us a check. We are willing to pay a little more for the website if needed. If web design works, then we will have more work for you. Will want to have someone with extensive knowledge of search engines and how to get us at the top. We need this in the next couple of weeks--don't bid or contact if you can't have this ready by December 15, 2010. Needs to not arouse PETA/HSUS. We may have you design a business card also. Other possible web designs in the future: Angus Beef website to advertising animals for sale; dog kennel site; dog breeding site.

Because others have asked: We want a 2 or three page website developed to sell our product--Angus beef steaks and hamburgers. We will want a video to start on the first page showing our animals so that people know they are treated humanely and given a happy life, and probably a few pictures of animals that we own--either beefy ready for harvest or babies--don't know which is most appropriate since people like babies but may not like to think that the babies are butchered. We will want pictures of steaks (ribeye, New York, strip, and several others, with people eating and cooking steaks and beef meat pictures on the site). We may want pictures of a happy man grilling hamburgers and of beef roasts--things to entice the appetite and encourage a person to buy. We will want a picture of a gift box or several different boxes with wrapped beef in it (if possible) so that people know that the gift box will include packages of meat. We will want a list of what each gift box will include along with the sizes they will get, and a place where they can order just two of each type of steak, one of several types of roasts, and/or just ground round or sirloin burgers. My thought is that we will want a list for ordering. We will want a Paypal payment added so that they can pay through Paypal into my already created Paypal account. If you search in Google search engine for "all natural Angus beef" or "all natural beef" you will see a variety of websites (including Omaha Steaks) that will come up which sites/companies are our competition. Luckily, there are not a lot of them so we don't have a huge group of competitors. We are not selling grass fed beef (but they are also our competition) but we are selling Prime Angus Beef, grass fed then finished on grass grains to complete the flavor and quality. These are steaks, roasts and hamburgers that one would find in the best restaurants in the worlds--best eating experiences. We will be shipping either over night Fed Ex or 2 day, frozen packages of beef to their door. We will be doing some deliveries in closer areas to our home.

In summary, we would like our first page to have pictures of people eating meat and pictures of top quality steaks along with a video of our animals being treated humanely and, of course, some kind of sales pitch that tells them that we are selling top quality USDA beef (which we are). On the second page, we would like some pictures of happy people eating or preparing beef steaks, roasts and hamburgers which, as I envision it, would include pictures of each item that could be ordered from us--gift boxes, and individual steaks or hamburger--along with prices, sizes/amounts, and a clickable (?) area where they can check out and pay through PayPal (probably the only thing I can use right now because I don't want to pay for the extra at the present time.)

Something like a blog where we can add information (news) regularly so that the search engines will stay with us, and recipes would be good--I could add those after the site is completed if you were to just set up a page for the two of them.

We are just starting this business so what we really need is a presence with an order form that people begin to know us and trust us for quality. We believe that everyone, even in these hard times, should have some pleasures in life, and an excellent eating experience can really make a person feel like they are kings and queens and happy about life. We want to provide that experience, but we can't do it without our product online.

We will also be sending out fliers advertising our business. I have created those which will include the website address so that people can go there to order but can also call a phone number of ours to order.

We only have 2 beeves to sell right now, and in another few months, we will have four to eight more. Then if the business takes off, we will be raising and selling as many as ten a month. We have talked to quite a number of small business people who are doing a similar thing, and they are producing 3-5 animals a month for filling their orders--we hope to get far larger such as places like omahasteaks.com but we are far from that--just a fledgling business that we are dreaming can grow into reality.

I hope this helps you understand.

If this website is good, we have another couple that we would like developed which should probably come down the road in several months. Several years ago, I wrote an entire website in html, and I would eventually like that revised and renewed. We will also probably want to add things to this site as we go so want access and will probably rehire the designer to increase the size and content changes as we grow. Right now, it is just the twinkle in our eyes that you are building.

Thanks for asking. I hope this helps.

Hi KF,

There are lot of open questions in this project. We adivce you to change this to hourly project or please send us a well documented requirements document so we know what all we have to do. We cannot bid on projects without finalizing the requirements.
