Title:Web Content specialist and SEO copywriter

Location:Anywhere

Job Description

Our law firm is currently undergoing a major redevelopment of our website which includes the addition of new integrated facilities and new contect for all areas of practice.

The new website is expected to host approximately 100 - 120 pages for some of which we will be able to provide basic content (to be expanded upon), whereas for other pages the ideal candidate will have carte blanche, thus being expected to produce the content from similar websites of competitors' firms.

Accordingly, we urgently require a specialist copywriter with excellent knowledge of written English and (possibly) previous experience in the legal field.

We specialise in Real Estate, Litigation, Private Clients (Wills, Probate and Inheritance disputes) and Corporate & Commercial.

The ideal candidate will assist the Marketing team with the preparation of all content for the new website and contribute to the SEO maximisation of the new website.

We are looking to build a long term relationship as we also own several other domains which will need to be developed with new content, plus our new website will need to be optimised by the weekly publication of newsletters, blogs, articles (esp. in the overseas property market) etc.

The quoted fixed fee retainer refers to the initial set of instructions, i.e. research on our requirements, review of similar websites for other law firms, drafting relevant content for each page in accordance with the site map which will be provided by the Marketing Manager, research of keywords, SEO maximisation when new site will go live.

We will then agree a fixed fee monthly retainer for all additional work, ongoing SEO optimisation, content writing for new articles and press releases, etc.

Could you let us have an idea of the word count you would expect over the 100-120 pages either in total or per page
thanks

Hi Alison

most of the pages will refer to lawyers' profiles for which content will be provided. You will need to ensure consistency throughout the section.

The most important part of the job refers to the content of the practice areas (8), all of which will have subsections.

I do not have exact instructions on amount of words per page as this will be entirely up to you. Please refer to the sites of other international law firms to assess the volume of work required, albeit ours will be on a much smaller scale.

I hope this helps?

Karl

Hi,

Thank you for inviting me to bid. I would love to work with you on this project, but I\'m finding it difficult to make a realistic bid on the basis of the Job Description.

The £550 budget for up to 120 pages works out at less than £5 per page, and while this would be reasonable if the work only involved a little rewriting and polishing (from content provided), it would not be enough for me to research and write a page from scratch.

It would be fine to bid on the basis of an hourly rate, but as it stands I\'m not sure how I can realistically estimate the quantity of work.

Thanks,
Rebecca
