Vanilla Forum Customisation - email notifications

1. We want to use Vanilla forum software, however it lacks the functionality to send us email notifications for activity on the forum (a) new posts/edits (b) new signups.

2. Comment/post moving (recategorisation) e.g. for off-topic replies that moderators will need to move (a) to another discussion thread (b) as a new thread under an other category.

We've asked their premium support provider but they are too busy.
