I am about to relaunch a property search website. I have changed the functionality of the website since the original launch and need to adapt the Terms and Conditions accordingly. I also need to check that the privacy policy is still ok.
The terms and conditions will need to be separated out into 2 separate documents:
1 - Ts and Cs for users/public
2- Ts and Cs for Estate agent
Further Info:
Previously we were emailing buyers and tenants details of properties on behalf of the Estate agents who had matching properties rather than the estate agents emailing the buyers directly.
Unfortunately we found this method was too vague for the Estate agents and didn’t give the agents access the buyers/tenants directly which is all they really want.
The new system which will be live next week is much more simple. We are collecting the buyer’s/tenant’s personal details and property requirements and effectively selling the lead to the agent (the agent will pay a subscription per month to continue receiving leads). Every time someone registers with us we forward their information to the estate agent. The agent will also receive their email address and their home address.
On registration we ask the users/public to tick two boxes. One is to agree to the terms and conditions and the other is to opt in to receive 3rd party deals and offers.
The Agents also tick a box to agree to the terms and conditions when they register.
We have introduced one more system into the user area that enables the user to click a button within their account. The button/link – STOP – will automatically send an email to the estate agent saying ‘ this buyer has requested that you stop sending them information on properties and stop all communication with them etc ...... In the estate agents terms and conditions they need to agree that they will stop communication or they will be breaking the terms and we will terminate their contract etc.
The information the estate agent receives on the buyer/tenant is attached. Also attached are the original terms and conditions and privacy policy.
I can explain all the changes that need to be made in more detail if you are interested in the job but I shouldn\'t imagine it will take too long.
Please do not apply if you are not qualified to do this work and i can have every confidence that the work that is done will cover everything.
Thanks
