Description

We are looking for a talented freelancer to undertake sub-editing / proofreading work on 3 business related articles of around 2500 - 3000 words each.

For each article we would like the freelancer to:

- check it makes sense
- correct ambiguities or inconsistencies
- check for consistency of writing style, and amend where inconsistencies are present
- correct errors in punctuation, grammar and spelling
- check the facts (names, titles, dates, figures etc). In most cases the source of the facts is provided

The articles have been prepared in Mac Keynote 09 v5.0.5 and ideally we would like the sub-edited / proofread documents to be returned in a consistent format. However, we are happy to also supply .pdf (to be edited in Adobe Reader), and .doc (text extract) versions.

Ideally we are looking to build a relationship with someone who is also capable of providing high quality article and copy writing services for a long-term future project.

Hi Ryan, Thank you for thinking of me and inviting me to bid. Regrettably, although I know I could help you, I am absolutely snowed under with work and can't take any more on at this moment in time. Wishing you the best of luck with your project. Kind Regards, Diane Hall

Diane No problem. Thanks for taking the time to let me know. Kind regards Ryan

hi Ryan I am a translator, May I apply? Thanks

Hi You are very welcome to apply although we have received a large number of bids from freelancers with direct proofreader / sub-editor experience. Kind regards Ryan

Hi Ryan I have Keynote 4.04 (2008). Would you be able to save your files so they would open with this version on my iMac ? Many thanks Brian ps You could always send an email with attachment for me to check ?

Hi I'm sure we could come up with something suitable for both parties. Kind regards Ryan

Aaarrgghh! Ryan. I would love to bid on this project as it is one of my areas - I am very eagle-eyed when it comes to someone else's work. However, I am PC based using Word 2010, and I'm afraid Mac Keynote 09 v5.0.5 is foreign to me. Have 'googled' for a converter, but without success.

Thanks for the message. Seemingly you are not the only one so, as well as supplying the articles in Keynote format, we will also provide a PDF (you could use this with Adobe Reader to edit text) and a .doc file. Some of the images may not appear in the .doc but you would be able to cross-reference with the .pdf. Hope this helps. Kind regards Ryan

    I don't have Mac Keynote :-(

Hi. Please see response below. Hopefully this helps. Kind regards Ryan As well as supplying the articles in Keynote format, we will also provide a PDF (you could use this with Adobe Reader to edit text) and a .doc file. Some of the images may not appear in the .doc but you would be able to cross-reference with the .pdf.
