‘Software Instruction Toolkit’ Native iPhone app

The following is a list of the functionality we require to be built into the app.
We have designed the look & feel and created all the elements to be implemented into the app. We require an iPhone app developer to pull the functionality together.

Advice on submitting the app to Apple will also be required.


Structure

Tab based (five tabs) - fixed header on all pages.

Tab 1
Home – search filter of main content, to display results as a menu of links once submitted; ‘swipe-able’ panel containing 8 options to select (one for each content area below), selecting an option to link through to that areas content; menu of 5 external web links to launch in safari browser.

Main content
The main content is to comprise 8 content topics, each comprising a number of pages:
1. Welcome – introduction screen and menu to 1 page
2. Get started – introduction screen and menu to 5 pages
3. Part One – introduction screen and menu to 5 page
4. Part Two – introduction screen and menu to 2 pages
5. Part Three – introduction screen and menu to 1 page
6. Part Four – introduction screen and menu to 1 page
7. Part Five – introduction screen and menu to 2 pages
8. Close – introduction screen and menu to 1 page

The introduction screen is to be a paragraph of text and a list menu, select a menu item to view the page, back button to return to the introduction. Pages all have a title, topic, and a mix of images and text – these are all longer scrolling pages in the format of text, image text, image, text, etc. The pages need to be ‘zoomable’ to allow the user to pinch-and-zoom in on detail in the images (2x). Will need a ‘bookmark’ button as part of each page to allow the user to add a link direct to that page to their bookmarks tab.

Bookmarks – favourites/bookmark function, listing pages the user has selected to bookmark, to link through to that page.

Glossary - list menu with search filter, selecting a menu item displays text about the topic

Tab 4
Notes – basic notes function to add, edit, delete notes.

Tab 5
Quiz - set of 10 questions, based on a question with 3 or 4 multiple choice answers, selecting the correct answer presents a pop-up with a ‘Correct!’ message, selecting a wrong answer presents a pop-up with a ‘Wrong!’ message, button to continue to next question.
