Small VBA Project

I am in the process trying to learn Excel/VBA to develop an interactive data input sheet that will resemble the data input screen from my insurance-related claims estimating software. I am needing help with Combo boxes, searches, etc, as the programming needed from this point appears to require much more study on my part than would be feasible, from a time standpoint. Ultimately, I want this program to be adaptable to some type of portable device, such as an IPad, Android, or similar, as it will be used to record data "on-site." I already have the database exported to Excel, and know how I want the page to look. I also would need to incorporate some type of "sketch" program (optional, later), and will need to design the Print Order of the data. That's about it!
