Title:Simple Website
Location:Remote
Job Description
Simple website required. Already have a homepage design (in high res Jpeg) and also have the contents ready for all internal pages.
It's essentially to be an on-line brochure - it will have about 10 pages in total + contact form(s) -- homepage + 9 based on an internal page layout.
The aim is to produce many such sites - this could be the first of 40 or so sites -- I'm looking for a very low unit cost.
The sorts of features we'd like are:
- Tableless CSS design, Validate / Xbrowser support XHTML W3C
- CMS with CKeditor.
- Maybe one simple FLASH/java effect on homepage for main picture
- WP Blog with custom theme to match homepage
- CSS manipulation to bring links from footer to top of page for spiders.
A good feel for nice graphic design/layout would also be useful.
Please bid £50 as a place holder if interested and we can discuss.
Many Thanks.

J. W. on 25/08/2010 08:09 amGood Morning Andy,
Im very interested in this opportunity, just a couple questions before I bid.
Would you require the successful applicant to also cover hosting etc?
Will the site require any Content Management System or will they be static site?
Kind Regards
Joel Warby

A. M. on 25/08/2010 11:43 amHi Joel
Thanks for your interest.
No no hosting required but we think it beneficial for it to have a CMS as described - but open to discussion on it really.
Best regards
A. P. on 25/08/2010 10:57 amHi Andy,
Apologies, are you suggesting £50 for the entire build or is that your hourly rate?
Many thanks,
Andy
M. P. on 25/08/2010 13:26 pmI can help with this. I do projects just like this on a regular basis with WordPress.
However, as another user mentioned, I think the price is too low for a fixed fee. Is this an hourly rate? If not, would you consider increasing the budget? It might also weed out those \\

No you are 100% right - £50 is not the full expected cost.
Thanks, Andy
M. P. on 25/08/2010 14:25 pmHi again,
Would you mind if I asked to clarify what the pay is?
Also, in your description you are asking for a CMS and WordPress. I would recommend using WordPress for both your CMS and blog. What do you think?
Many thanks,
Michael.

If you do a place holder bid as requested in the project description (it means it's not to be taken as a real bid) I can send you the design.
Thanks, Andy
M. P. on 25/08/2010 19:29 pmHi,
I'm not sure why my last post was deleted. Was this a mistake? Did you get to read it?
Thanks,

M. P. on 25/08/2010 18:45 pmHi,
So let me just clarify; is a design already done? Because at the start of the description you say there\'s a homepage design but at the end it seems to suggest you\'ll need some design work doing too.
I can do both for you, but obviously this will effect the costing. If you could let me know I\'ll put in a realistic bid for what you require.
Many thanks,
Michael.

- Never pay any money to Clients and or provide sensitive details like your Bank information, Credit Card or Passwords
- Never accept a Job if you have been directed away from PeoplePerHour to another website
- Be cautious when providing your personal contact details (email, telephone number, instant message ID etc) before your Bid is accepted
- If you have been asked to send samples, put a watermark on them or send low resolution examples to avoid being exposed and not getting paid
- Don’t start work before your Bid is accepted and your Escrow deposit is made
- Keep your Escrow account topped up and ensure that you use the Private Message Board to track all pertinent details about the Job e.g. timelines, deliverables etc
- Before you supply final works to Clients, ensure you have adequate funds in Escrow
