I have a detailed spreadsheet of all expenses. Dated and reference numbered to reflect hard records. This consists of 235 entries.

I also have a detailed spreadsheet of all income. Dated, reference numbered and invoice referenced to reflect records. This consists of 23 entries. All paid into bank

In my opinion the business has made a loss in the first year of trade.

Not exactly. I do no 100% of my income was paid into the bank via cheques and bacs. Banks statements is extremely easy to provide. I work as a martial art instructor and as a manager of or a local sports complex. I run the business from my home address. I teach in schools and in evening classes. I am commissioned to recruit and also save money on running the site for extra bonuses. another way of looking at it is that I work a business within a business. My budget is based on the fact that this is a very competitive market and also the fact I could pay 200.00 to the accountant that does the accounts for the business I recruit for. (they already know the business inside out.
