Title:SEO Content Writer City guides

Location:Anywhere

Job Description

We need someone to write 30 unique 500 word UK city/town summaries for a new website project.

They should each mention local key attractions (music venues, stadiums), and focus around inclusion of keywords for SEO purposes of "short rent", "short term rent\" and "serviced apartments", "short rent (city)", and "(city)".

We will need around 100 locations doing in total, but would like to focus on 30 initially. The chosen supplier will need to be able to structure this into HTML paragraphs with styling as needed, and use an extremely simple web form to add the content to the site.

We would like a total cost for the completion of all the guides.

Could you please advise whether you will be supplying all the "local key attractions" information for each location or will you also be expecting the successful bidder to research these areas as part of the job? Thank you.

Country of Freelancer: United Kingdom  United Kingdom

Acceptance Reason: Hi Lyndsay,

As per my email and our phone conversation...

Hi Lindsay,

The site is www.shortrent.co.uk

The editing / content addition process :

1. To put the site in edit mode for you only, go to www.shortrent.co.uk/home/secret/true

( To turn edit mode off, go to www.shortrent.co.uk/home/secret/false )

Nothing will visibly happen, but you will have activated the secret mode.

2. Browse to the URL you are adding the guide for eg /sheffield/ (i have done a short example for sheffield), for the URLs see the attached spreadsheet for the 30 we would like you to do for now.

3. The top box is for text that is always displayed, and should only show the first part of your article... just one or two paragraphs!

4. The second box is for text that will only be displayed when the user has NOT searched on the site, and has gone directly to shortrent.co.uk/sheffield from a search engine result, and should be around 3 or 4 paragraphs or the user will have to scroll down too much to get to the results and we'll lose them!

5. To add text as raw HTML, click on the little HTML button on the top left of the edit box, and add your html guide to the bottom box, and summary to the top box

6. Click save... the content will now be saved for /sheffield/. To see it without the edit boxes, just turn off edit mode by going to www.shortrent.co.uk/home/secret/false

About the content we would like you to write

See the /sheffield/ example. We would like a brief summary which is always shown (for the top edit box), and then the rest of the article should go into more depth with links to places of interest for that location for the bottom edit box.

When adding links to locations, the software will automatically know what you mean when you enter <a href="/london-knightsbridge/">Knightsbridge</a> as a link, and link to the right content.

Relevant SEO terms, like the 'location', 'short rent', 'short term rent, 'short let', 'serviced apartment', and where relevant 'cottage' and 'holiday let' should be threaded through your copy.

Please make sure you keep a copy of all your articles in case with have a database issue and lose everything, and we can reload them in!

Please send us a zip file of all the articles when you have completed the work and you will update the system as you go along,

Thanks,

Steve
