Title:Re-programme auction software for automated payment process
Location:Anywhere
Job Description
Hi,
I have bought auction software for a new website that is written in php and MySQL The problem we have is how the site takes fees incurred by a user.
As the site is currently written, the user has to deposit funds into their account through the current payment gateways written into the site (Stormpay, Paypal etc) and then the site can take the fees. We are concerned that the user will forget to do this and then the site cannot take the fees.
What we want instead is an automated payment process where once a month the site can take any fees generated by a user directly from the users Payapl account. In otherwords, exactly how ebay does.
The current payment gateways, tabs and accounting menu/functionality will all have to removed and the new payment system written in instead.
Also, in the registration process, before a new user can complete the registration, they will have to provide their paypal email address so we can take their fees. At the moment this is not written into the registration process so it would need to be included. If the new user does not have a paypal account, they must then be directed to paypal to create an account and once they have completed this they can complete the registration.
The software was purchased from www.ilance.com. If you view their website, they have demos of both the user and back end so hopefully this will help you understand it.
I need to know if 1. You can do this work for us and 2. Timescales.
Thanks,
Ross

R. M. on 26/11/2011 17:41Thanks Gopal,
How long do you think you will need to complete the work and what is your hourly rate?
I am meeting with my partners on Monday so we will let you know soon when we can begin. But first I need some some idea of costing.
Cheers, RM
M. F. on 25/11/2011 21:24what is total budget you willing to pay, i can do it

R. M. on 26/11/2011 17:38The budget is not important, making the sure the job is done correctly and neets all of our requirements is the most important thing.
I spoke to the software company that wrote the site and they said they cannot do what we need doing.
Are you sure you can do this for us? If so, how many hours will you need and what is your hourly rate?
Cheers, RM

Here are some practical tips on staying safe
- Never pay any money to Clients and or provide sensitive details like your Bank information, Credit Card or Passwords
- Never accept a Job if you have been directed away from PeoplePerHour to another website
- Be cautious when providing your personal contact details (email, telephone number, instant message ID etc) before your Bid is accepted
- If you have been asked to send samples, put a watermark on them or send low resolution examples to avoid being exposed and not getting paid
- Don’t start work before your Bid is accepted and your Escrow deposit is made
- Keep your Escrow account topped up and ensure that you use the Private Message Board to track all pertinent details about the Job e.g. timelines, deliverables etc
- Before you supply final works to Clients, ensure you have adequate funds in Escrow
Remember: if something looks too good to be true, it probably is!
