Title:Personal Tax Advice

Location:Anywhere

Job Description

Hi, I joined my current employer in 2007 as a salaried employee. Despite no changes in my base salary or bonus I have had 8 different tax codes. I have no external income, yet was required to make contributions under self-assessment for the last 2 tax years.

My payroll for January this year was then also debited a further £3000 as HMRC stated that my payroll provider had failed to adjust my tax code from April last year and was therefore recovering underpaid tax. My net take home pay has been the same every month since I joined the firm.

I am looking for simple guidance on the following 2 areas:

1. I would like to understand the fluctuation of my tax code and ultimately if I am able to recover any of the above payments from the payroll company or HMRC.

2. I want to be sure that I am on the correct coding, my self assessment is correctly completed and I have trust that I will pay the correct tax hereafter

I have copies of all payslips and completed tax returns etc.

Regards
