Title:Pattern Cutter / Seamstress / Cut, Make & Trim for T-shirts

Location:London

Job Description

We are looking for a freelance Seamstress for Cut, Make and Trim of bespoke T-shirts. We are T-shirt printers and are looking to add a service for all-over printing on panels prior making up and need a person to take care of the pattern cutting through to the finished item. London Location would be prefered, initially we would need the applicant to have they're own machinery but we may think abut buy this in house at a later date.

As this is a new service we will be looking for it to be ongoing and to build over the coming weeks so would like to negotiate a price or prices on this basis. I imagine our orders to be in the region of 20 to 200/300 maximum but probably more in the region of 50 to 100 units at each time. We would like a price per T-shirt, with or without the price of the fabric, this can be quantity specific if necessary. We are looking for a high uality garment and will want to replicate as close to a sample t-shirt we will provide as possible.

I would be happy to answer questions about this and look forward to hearing from you. Thanks

Hello, Thanks for the invitation to bid.

Could you clarify if the t-shirts will be pre-cut and will they need overlocking?

Kind Regards

Hi Jennifer

We are new to the world of making garments from scratch im afraid so we do not have all the technical knowledge that we will need as yet and hope than we can be advised on this a bit. We have blank samples of t-shirts that we use regularly from one of our suppliers that we want to replicate and maybe it would be best if we send you one of these out? Im pretty sure it will need overlocking however. Pre-cut im not sure, we will be printing these as oversized prints on either squares or pre-cut panels. If squares then we can print registration guides for where the corners etc of the pattern will be placed. Does this make sense? if you have any suggestions id love to hear them.

cheers
Rob

Hi Rob,

Thanks for your reply. Does this mean that the print is to be applied onto the t-shirt on a separate piece of fabric (applique?) So you would like the t-shirt made and the print appliqued to the finished product. Do you have a picture perhaps of a similar product?

Kind Regards

Jenni

Hi Jennifer

Sorry what i mean is that we need a patern making from a sample garment that we have chosen. We will then print on to fabric either before it has been cut into the pattern or just on squares of fabic to them be cut to the pattern shape. so to clarify the fabric we print onto will be the fabric the t-shirt is made from, we to print it before it is made into the finished garment.

Thanks

Thanks Rob,

I understand. So to clarify, the work you are looking for is the pattern being made from the sample and the garments being constructed after?

Kind Regards

Jenni
