Job Description

I'm currently running a development shop on my own, but I've got enough clients lined up to require another developer. I'm looking for a developer for two months initially, but if it goes well it could definitely become permanent.

Enthusiasm and skills are key, along with being able to meet face to face in London or Surrey (telecommuting *with* face 2 face is possible). Please apply if you can do that, and are someone:

* with a good grounding in PHP 5, including
- MVC CodeIgniter, Symfony, Zend Framework etc
- OOP with a focus on maintainable, readable code
* excited about startup companies, and early in your career
* who is enthusiastic about test/behaviour-driven-development
* who absolutely loves the art of programming, and gets a rush when they create something which is a joy to use
* with clear, articulate written communication
* excited by new technology, I'm going to be proposing Scala to clients, and want to open source some components.

Other things that would be useful are:

* frontend skills - rich UI with jQuery and the like, and if you've got a great design sense it couldn't hurt
* experience with Flex/Flash, Actionscript 3
* build tools like Apache Ant and Maven
* sys admin
* anything else that makes you stand out!

The work will be in London, Soho, and/or Surrey, and can involve telecommuting for the right candidate. Please provide your monthly rate.
