Title:Marketing database creation and administration

Location:Anywhere

Job Description

We're growing a one person consultancy to incorporate training & development and add on some e-tools which will be part of a transition that will take us into 2010 and beyond.

We need:
Data entry, using a CardScan reader to enter around 1000 business cards (some with notes on them).

Once entered the data shall be transferred into a hosted CRM / Sales database, with marketing campaigns to be derived via another marketing person. The system will be esalestrack.com and we will add a user licence to cover the work.

Research of websites, social and professional networking media, business news, targeted prospects profiled and all data entered into the CRM system.

Once we're confident of competency and capacity, we would like to extend the work to include responding to customer enquires, sending marketing information (email only), carrying out event management for training programs (both face to face and via webinars), dealing with training and product enquires, managing diary and contributing to the team effort.

We are a training provider delivering public and in-house courses - some of our customers are Grant funded (which requires additional administration), plus we have to get groups of people together at the same time and place, so well experienced (and efficient) event management would be useful.

Lots of customer liaison by telephone and email, plus your opinion on customer service, what our customer's needs are and an extra point of view on marketing activity will not be discouraged!

You will need a good friendly telephone manner, reliable, methodical and organised, confident PC user with Web, Email, Excel and Word.

Clarification Board

Dear Gary

I feel I am very well placed to meet your criteria and have the necessary experience, at the right level to offer you the service you require, both in terms of general administrative support and event management, and I could start immediately.

However, there are a couple of things I would like to clarify before I bid:
1 - Would you provide the CardScan reader for this task?
2 - Is prior knowledge of any specific industry required?

Kind regards
Claire

Dear Gary,

Will you be supplying the card reader, or will I be expected to provide this?

Kind regards

Steve

Dear Gary,

Like the providers below, I would like to know whether you will be providing the CardScan reader? As People Per Hour requires us to enter an estimated hours figure as part of our bids, could you also indicate how many hours' work you would like us to quote for when submitting our bids?

Thanks!

Dear Claire / Steve / Sophie

The message board wasn\'t accessible yesterday so apologies for the delay in answering. I hope you don\'t mind me answering you all at the same time.

1. I will provide the card reader

2. I work in a variety of industries and whilst specific experience is not required, any experience of working with people in technical, sales / marketing and financial roles and understanding their needs on a daily basis will only help to cement a longer relationship for more work to be carried out

3. I haven\'t put in a measure for the method of quoting and can understand whether you see it as a daily rate, hourly rate or small project of 1 day in 1 week. I will base the assessment on who feels they have most synergy, can offer suitable skills and experience and can be flexible in the short term to get things going

4. Ongoing, the work could be more and more often, varying in needs and will be available to one or more providers. I don\'t want to sound clinical as I prefer to build longer lasting relationships with customers and suppliers in equally positive ways.

5. I will make an assessment too on how you judge your efficiency (value for money) and effectiveness (creative contribution / value adding)

Hope this helps
Warm Regards
Gary
