Title:Marketing Report

Location:Anywhere

Job Description

Our client is a provider of legal services online. We are looking for innovative ways to develop and grow the brand, establish a wider audience, establish greater market share and increase brand equity.

Our marketing and brand development has been conducted from the inside out and so we are looking for fresh input from someone who has experience in online marketing, brand development and perhaps PR.

The deliverable for this project is a detailed, research led report comprising marketing audit (micro, macro environment), competitor analysis and overview of the industry, evaluation of service offering, suggestion of new marketing objectives and marketing mix for success.

The report will not require budgets, timescales or detailed implementation information, it is a research led report that will form part of the input into a marketing plan.

The report should be approx. 3000 words, plus appendices and adhere to Harvard referencing scheme. Whilst the report should be grounded in accepted theory we are looking for practical, critical appraisal; knowledge that can be understood and measurably actioned.

All details and information will be made available on successful bidding, subject to sign-off on a standard non-disclosure agreement. Bidders will be required to show examples of past work in the field of marketing and though not essential, a registered member, associate or higher, of the Chartered Institute of Marketing is preferable.

A high quality delivery could well lead to further involvement on other projects. Thank you for your time, and best of luck..

Hi Andy

Many thanks for inviting me to bid. Obviously, this being a research-led report, is the client prepared to pay additional for any relevant Mintel, Keynote reports etc? Obviously, I would try to glean as much info as possible from trade journals and publicly available online reports.

Regards
C

Hi Claire,
Good question. We've discussed with the client there could well be secondary data available from the organisations you mention at additional cost . It's a fairly new space and so we must be careful assessing relevancy. If you felt strongly that a particular piece of research could significantly improve or strengthen the report then we could certainly make the case to the client.

It would of course be somewhat dependant on the nature, relevancy, source and cost of the research. Additionally of course I would intend to work closely with the winning bidder to provide as much information as I could; including some findings compiled recently by a marketing intern, and observations of the business over the past two years.

I hope this answers your question...

Are you sure about that match of the budget to the job?

Hi Roger,

This seems a slightly odd question. The budget is the budget. Suppliers must decide if they feel they can provide value and have the skills and time to do so.

Bid. Don't bid. It's surely a personal decision.
