Macro required for excel database

I require a macro for a speadsheet I use in my hobby, which will eventually I want to incorperated on a web page.
all the information is on one sheet, when a serial number is entered it will give the required information. On this sheet there are 44 grades which are set out in runs.(if a serial number is entered that is not on the sheet, Invalid number notification is required)
