Joomla-based website to replace existing outdated site

We are an art / photography gallery with a stable of artists. We need a high class but simple site to show them and ourselves in the best possible light - ie nothing too flashy and with a focus on the images as the most important aspect.

Our current site was built in 2006 using Accessible Joomla! 1.0.12 Stable - it is now rather dated and we want to get into the modern age with better seo, blog, social marketing links etc.

We are happy with the overall look of the site (but always open to design suggestions). All of the images are ready to go.

I have attached a pdf of our general design and a document of notes, I hope they makes sense.
