Job Description

An established website company ( 1998)is looking to start on a new venture and this will involve a mapping website for a European country and more details will be provided on acceptance of the project.

For all below the administrator is the Website company.
The client is owner of the business who wishes it to be displayed on a page of the website owned by the website company

Key stages
- Design a core website which will be adapted and modified by the websites in-house design team
- The website we are looking to build will need to be able to plot map points on a country scale for various regions and categories. The project is best suited to a custom designed and developed Map but we are willing to listen to other options but ideally we wouldn't want to use Google Maps.

- The map plots will be taken from a database which will need to be built to the website owners specifications and will also need to be scalable so new categories can be added by the website owners moving forward, after the initial database build..

- The database records will need to be added/amended via a webpage by the client or the website administrator.

-The website template will need to have a space within new WebPages where the website administrator can add inside a map based upon the database.

The map content will need to able to be determined and plotted by the website owner for key regions and key database filters. The solution provided will need to be scalable so the website owner can add frequent maps after the initial website build proposed.

- On each map the user will have the requirement to click on an icon and the icon will be populated with content taken from the database from information uploaded by the client through the database.

- Wireframes of the website template will be provided.
- Wireframes of the database initial categories will be provided.

For confidentiality reasons we regret that the above only gives an outline of our project proposals. For that reason we do not expect to receive firmly priced proposals based on this outline. However we will be happy to provide further information, as required, when we hear from individuals or companies who feel that they have the necessary qualifications and expertise to move the project forward..

This is a serious project would particularly suit any developer who has previous experience in building website using interactive and scalable maps. Whilst we are prepared to enter into fixed price or hourly payment arrangement for the development we would not rule out possible equity participation in the project.
