Job Description

We are looking to launch a new benchmarking survey in the UK. After taking an online survey, we will provide the client with a short report with focuses on satisaction of a key stakeholder group. The highest ranked companies will then be recognised as part of UK-based awards for this specific sector.

A company is providing a similar service in the US. I would:

1. Like you to confirm all of their trademarks and if these extend to the UK
2. Analysis of our proposed and their survey report – either confirmation that we will not break any copyright laws or if we need to tweak our survey before we launch.

The overall purpose is to ensure we are not in breach of any intellectual property laws before we launch.

I would like this work to commence at the earliest opportunity. Please only reply if you are qualified to provide this advice and are UK-based.

If I were you, I would file a patent instead as trademarks and such are not worth the paper it's on.

Here are some practical tips on staying safe

Never pay any money to Clients and or provide sensitive details like your Bank information, Credit Card or Passwords
Never accept a Job if you have been directed away from PeoplePerHour to another website
Be cautious when providing your personal contact details (email, telephone number, instant message ID etc) before your Bid is accepted
If you have been asked to send samples, put a watermark on them or send low resolution examples to avoid being exposed and not getting paid
Don’t start work before your Bid is accepted and your Escrow deposit is made
