Graphic Design/Illustration for iphone app ebook.

We are looking for a graphic designer/illustrator to work with us on our children’s bedtime ebook app for the iphone and ipad.
The aim of the book and story is to help reassure and settle children (aged between 3 and 7) at bedtime to keep their night time worries away.
The graphics need to be delivered as editable vector graphics (using the .eps extension) with all characters and parts individually editable.
The size of each image needs to be 960 x 640 (iphone 4 landscape).
The images and copyrights will be ours to use and modify as we wish.
Please see the attached story-board attached to give an idea of the type of designs needed.
The images need to be 2d (maybe with a little stylised 3d element).
The colours should reflect the storyline of bedtime and would need to be lilacs/purple/blue as seen on the storyboard.
The main characters are Jemma the little girl and James (a male alternative for each of the scenes duplicating the same poses/facial expressions etc).
The facial expressions/poses needed are:-
• Scared/worried lying down.
• Awake sat up in bed.
• Asleep (happy) lying down.
The moon, the stars and the owl.
I think the illustrations can be achieved with perhaps 4 or 5 backgrounds and the main characters with the background and character images being resized/cropped to create the other scenes.

Probably something like:-
Composition external.
Bedroom window view.
Bedroom door view.
Sea view.
End composition.

The story board are just our ideas and we would welcome your own creative input and ideas. The app is for the ipad and iphone .

We plan to develop other apps in the future so there may be additional work in the coming months.

Before selecting a designer we would need to see some examples of previous work.

We would like a cohesive feel to the graphics and love the effective use of shadow and light.

The characters need to be friendly to help chase away the fears that a child sometimes feel at bedtime.

I will be implementing some simple animations during the development of the app and will do this by manipulating the vector graphics created.

A copy of the story will be given to prospective designers when we start making our selection.
