Title:Flash / Web developer
Location:Anywhere
Job Description
We have an application where we are using tablet PCs running windows, to develop interactive software to allow visitors to select the desired language via the touch screen. Once the language is selected, it should scroll, we are planning to include a feature where the scroll speed can be adjusted by the user.
The plan is to use a mixture of HTML and flash, but other options will be considered.
You should have good knowledge of web programming software to work with our team to develop the required solution.
Some of this work can be done remotely but we would ideally want someone that is able to do part of the work in our office at Kingston upon Thames to work with our designers and engineers in developing the solution.

R. M. on 05/09/2011 00:55No this is a job, exact requirements are to be agreed once we have the right person on board, hence the reason we are asking for an hourly rate.
I application is a touch screen in a museum where visitors can select one of about 9 languages
E. B. on 05/09/2011 14:52Ross M,
Ok, thanks but unfortunately i'm must be missing something, so its a job to develop code for a drop down menu of present 9 possible languages and enable selection.
Is the flash app already completed in all nine languages and is the HTML content translated too?. Or do you have the Flash app only working in English and this phase of the project is dealing with the translation?
What is the App, simple interaction with animation and A/V, is there any API's involved or database connectivity, any details such as these will get you the right kind of CV's and therefore required Developer skills for you Project.
I would of love to given you an hourly rate but unfortunately even now, even though i have done all of the above, i am still in the dark about what i would would bidding for, those surprises that come under "i forgot to mention"!

R. M. on 06/09/2011 09:51We have not done any development at all, at this stage we are only suggesting the use of HTML and flash as a solution so happy to look at other options.
All we are after is a screen with 9 flags for the 9 languages, when a visitor selects the language, the screen displays the text in the language. If there is more text than 1 whole screen, we want the text to scroll.
Hope that helps.
