Title:Find a List of Sufi Masters alive at Present
Location:Remote
Job Description
I need a "List of Sufi Masters who are alive at Present ( not from the past )"; preferably each with their corresponding websites or e-mail addresses ( but this feature is not essential ). By "List" I mean Sufi Masters : only the Leader or Head of his Order ( not all the "Sufi Masters : delegates, etc.... alive now" ). I found many websites that mention a lot of Sufi Masters, but they are not complete lists and they have mixed Masters from the past and Masters alive now, or they don't mention "who" is the Leader or Head of the Order. I'm sure that somebody in this world already has put together this type of "List" that I need ( "Living Sufi Masters" ), but I don't know where to look for it. Sombody must have already done this kind of "Survey" or "Directory", I just don't know where to find it. I DON'T want you to "make" or "put together" yourself the List, I just want you to "Find it".

A. B. on 10/09/2010 04:33 amHello. Thank you for inviting me to bid for this interesting assignment. I have a few questions and your replies would help me understand your requirements and more importantly, enable me to gauge whether or not I will be able to meet them. So here goes:
1. Do you know for sure that there is a "list" of all living Sufi masters?
2. If I'm unable to "find" such a list, would you then want a compilation of such a list?
3. What's the time frame/deadline for completion of this assignment?
4. This list may be available offline (for instance in a book, etc.) would you expect a review of books?
Look forward to your response.
Thanks.
Adite

I. L. on 11/09/2010 21:28 pmI am almost sure ( 90% sure) that there is somewhere a "List of Sufi Masters alive at Present".
If you don't find such a List, I might want to ask you to "put it together" yourself, but this would be a Different Job, that I will ask in the near future. ( "Putting it together" yourself will require a lot more "work hours", and I will offer different payment arrangements ( a lot more than £ 220 ).
I don't have a time frame for when I want the Job to be finished. As soon as it is good for you to do it. ( start within a month, and finish whenever you find the List ! ).
If you find that this "List" might be found offline, then look wherever you think you'll find it. I don't care where it comes from, as long as it is "Complete" and roughly "up to date" ( meaning : not done "a few decades ago" , but if it was done a couple of years ago, it will do ). But it has to be Complete ( some kind of "Survey", maybe ).
A. K. on 12/10/2010 03:07 amWhat do you mean by sufi is it sufi ideology of Islam ?

A. M. on 15/10/2010 16:37 pmHi
I know how to find the list but I have to ask why do you want the list?

I. L. on 17/10/2010 14:12 pmThe reason is Research. If you already have the Link to this List, then you might be able to make a very easy £200-£220, if you bid on my Job.
Regards.
A. M. on 17/10/2010 14:29 pmI understand you are looking for a 'list' already out there that compiles every single sufi master alive today. Firstly it would have to be compiled by someone who was not a sufi, since a sufi will only include his own sect leaders in the list.
I do not believe there is an already compiled list and if there is I very much doubt it to be accurate. I would imagine you would have to get a Islamic expert to pull together such a list, and then the Islamic expert would like to know what is the benefit of the research. Is it to promote sufism etc.
I know an expert on Islamic sects who would be willing to help but only upon fully understanding what is the aim of the research.
Kind regards

I. L. on 19/10/2010 17:57 pmFirst you said that "you know how to find the list" and then you said that "you don't believe there is such a List". Please make up your mind before writting. Thank you.
